Underwhelming: our comments on the 4th UAP congressional hearing and Immaculate Constellation

The fourth congressional hearing on UAP was held yesterday, Wednesday 13th November 2024 - the second one by the House Oversight Committee. It went on for over two hours, with four “witnesses” sworn in to tell the truth. And we learnt absolutely nothing new from them.

The witnesses being sworn in

A document describing the “Immaculate Constellation” program was entered into the record by co-chair Rep. Nancy Mace, provided by journalist Michael Shellenberger. Mace made this document available after the hearing finished. On reading it, our suspicions were immediately raised at the end of the first paragraph of the Introduction, which states: “This public version of the author’s report was reviewed and approved for public release by the Department of State, Bureau of Global Public Affairs.” Really?! With no named author or source?! We have contacted the US Department of State for confirmation - still awaiting a response - but suggest that caution or scepticism about this so-called “approved” report is warranted unless proven otherwise.

Rep. Nancy Mace

The one positive thing was the interest shown by the congressmen and congresswomen to get to the truth of the UAP matter, but the hearing nevertheless fell well short of its “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth” billing. Tim Gallaudet, Lue Elizondo, Michael Shellenberger, and Mike Gold - the “witnesses” - were enthusiastic advocates for UAP transparency, yet offered zero first-hand testimony. The questions asked of them were okay, but not great. Rep. Eric Burlison’s attempt to probe was much better, but he got nowhere. For example, he asked Elizondo: “So, if you were in our shoes, where would you go?” The response, predictably, was a nothing answer.

Rep. Glenn Grothman, co-chair, as part of his opening statement, commented: “…none of them [government agencies] have been able to substantiate the claims made at this hearing last year by David Grusch, despite our committee members endlessly questioning these agencies inside and outside of a SCIF.”

The choice of witnesses could and should have been so much better. Why were none of David Grusch’s alleged contacts with “first-hand” evidence brought in front of the committee, either as willing or hostile witnesses? Why were Eric Davis and Ret. Admiral Tom Wilson not hauled before Mace & Co in an attempt to get to the truth behind the memo entered into evidence by Rep. Mike Gallagher in May 2022 during the first UAP hearing?

In conclusion, whereas it’s good that there are congressional hearings taking place looking into UAP, yesterday’s event was underwhelming. Congress needs to unearth solid, irrefutable evidence from first-hand witnesses and unquestionable data. Today is the 20th anniversary of the Tic Tac encounter, which was the case behind our first-ever Evolve First article on UAP titled Too real to ignore and featured in our “best cases” film. Commander Dave Fravor was a witness in the previous congressional hearing - and it is his level of testimony that is needed, nothing less.
